Apple advances on Facebook's billionaire ad revenue

Apple has changed some of its policies on the App Store and apparently the company responsible for Facebook and Instagram, Meta, was not happy with some of the changes.

This is because Apple decided to start charging a 30% fee for 'boost' – an option offered in Apple's apps. Meta so that content creators could promote the reach of their publications on the social networks owned by the company.

BUT: Apple already has plans to implement USB-C in its products

"Apple continues to evolve its policies to grow the business while hurting others in the digital economy. Apple has previously said that it does not take a share of advertising revenue from 'developers' and has apparently now changed its mind. We remain committed to providing small businesses with simple ways to manage ads and grow their business in our apps.", can be read in the statement that Meta sent to The Verge website.

In its defense, Apple refers that this way of promoting the reach of publications is understood by the company as a digital service/good, which makes it included in the App Store fee system.
