BNA holds conference on cybersecurity

A conference will take place tomorrow(24) on the theme “Cybersecurity in the Angolan Financial System”, held by National Bank of Angola (BNA).

According to the official statement, the event is part of the Annual Cycle of Conferences and aims to address the challenges and perspectives of cybersecurity and other geographies, listen to the experience of national and international experts in matters of sectoral security incidents and the impact of ransomware (malicious software ) in the context of the Angolan Financial System.

"Cybersecurity is currently an essential practice for organizations, which aims to prevent the invasion, theft and encryption of data, capable of compromising the organizations' business, as well as causing financial, reputational, operational and strategic losses.“, can be read in the statement.

It should also be noted that the event will bring together bodies linked to the Angolan Executive, the council of supervisors of the financial system, experts from the Bank of Portugal (BP), the companies Deloitte, Microsoft, PwC, the Capital Market Commission (CMC), senior officials from commercial and academic banks.
