The French Government announced yesterday (27) new measures to contain the new wave of the pandemic, including mandatory telecommuting at least three days a week and anticipation of taking the third dose of the vaccine, from five to three months, informs the RFI.

These new measures were announced by the French Prime Minister, Jean Castex, after the Council of Ministers of that country approved a bill that should be validated in January by the National Assembly.

It should also be informed that the new approved measures are more burdensome for French civil society, despite the fact that the country maintains the return to classes for January 3rd. According to the French Government, the curfew is still not an option, although restrictions are foreseen for public events.

Jean Castex, who announced the measures alongside the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, added the objective of increasing the vaccination rate, currently at 78% of the population with at least one dose, including children.

Finally, the French Governor revealed that the health certificate will become a vaccination certificate and those who have not been vaccinated will no longer have access to it through a negative test.

Thus, vaccination will be necessary, from the 15th of January, to access cinemas, theaters or museums, use public transport or visit cafes.
