Embassy of India promotes event to understand the present scenario of telecommunications and IT in the country

The Embassy of India in Angola will promote in the coming days, namely on February 18th, Friday, a video conference with the aim of understanding the present scenario of telecommunications and IT in Angola in the post Covid-19 era, called “Promoting Business in the New Normal of the Telecommunications, Electronics and IT Sector”.

According to the official communiqué of the event, to which the editorial staff of MenosFios had access, the event will promote commercial interaction between Angolan and Indian businessmen and explore various business opportunities for both sides, in a prevailing economic environment.

The Angolan delegation, according to the document, will include the presence of Mario Augusto Da Silva Oliveira, Secretary of State for Telecommunications, as well as Miguel Geraldes (CEO of UNITEL), Augusto Mota de Carvalho (CEO of Angola Cables), António Cardoso (Executive Director of Startel), Joaquim Muhongo (Executive Director of INACOM) and Vicente Soares (President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry).

On the other hand, representing India, will be present Arun Gupta (Director General of TEPC), Sandeep Aggarwal (Chairman TEPC), Pratibha Parkar (Ambassador of India in Angola), in addition to the main telecommunications companies of that Asian country, such as Astrome Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Birla Cable Ltd., Paramount Communications Ltd., Tejas Network Ltd. e Telecommunications Consultants India Limited.

It should also be noted that the meeting will also gather comprehensive information on the Angolan telecommunications and IT market, map strategies for strengthening trade and economic relations in the sector, in addition to sharing experiences of entrepreneurs.
