According to the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Maria Teixeira Bragança, the Memorandum, now signed, demonstrates Huawei's willingness to contribute to the training of youth in information and communication technologies, which are fundamental in creating self-employment for young Angolans.

The director general of Huawei Angola, Chu Xiaoxin, highlighted that the degree of development of the digital economy depends on the progress of the national infrastructure of information and communication technologies. He acknowledged that the country is lagging behind in terms of broadband connectivity and network coverage, as the development of the digital economy cannot be achieved without the support of ICT talent.

Huawei has been a strategic partner of Angola, which improves people's lives through technology, with actions undertaken by the company in Angola such as the creation of more than 800 job opportunities and the training of more than a thousand talents in Information and Communication (ICT) in the last 20 years.
