GGPEN holds free workshop “How to create a business in the space area”

The National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN) will give, on the 27th of May, a free workshop with the theme “How to start a space business".

The event will take place at ISPTEC, and will have as speaker Temidayo Oniosun, Managing Director of Space in Africa, Karman Fellow of 2020 and winner of the Forbes Africa 30 under 30 award in 2021.

According to the official note, this Workshop is due to the fact that the space industry has become an increasingly relevant business area, attracting several billion dollars in investment, a value that is expected to increase in the coming years due to the growing support of entities governments and the private sector.

The free event, with limited spaces, will take place at 14 pm on May 27, at ISPTEC, located in Talatona (Luanda), and also aims to present the space industry, as well as the existing opportunities in this area, both for those who already work in the sector, as well as for those who want more information.

About the speaker, it should be noted that Temidayo Oniosun is also a member of TEDx and regularly appears in various media commenting on the African Space Program. About his academic background, Oniosun has a master's degree in satellite applications from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK and is currently a PhD student at the University of Delaware, USA.
