Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa announced this Wednesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland (where President João Lourenço is also located), that Google will open a service center and technology hub for Europe , Middle East and Africa in the Municipality of Oeiras.

The center will operate in Oeiras, a neighboring municipality of Lisbon, where some technological multinationals also have facilities. These service providers are used in various Google operations and allow you, for example, to temporarily increase resources for a project or have access to skills that the company does not have in-house.

António Costa said that this investment by Google in his speech, which opened the conference and was dedicated to presenting Portugal to foreign investors as a competitive country, especially in terms of capturing startup and technological investments.
