2018 is the year that marks the arrival of Startup Weekend an event where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if their business ideas are workable.
The event is organized by local volunteers in partnership with Google, more specifically the program Google for entrepreneurs, global network of leaders and high-impact entrepreneurs on a mission to inspire, educate and empower individuals, teams, and communities. More than 8.000 startups were created at events held in about 100 countries.
All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model:
- anyone is welcome to expose their idea of startup and receive feedback from other participants.
- Teams are formed around the best ideas (determined by voting) and from there are 54 hours of business modeling, programming, design and market validation.
- The weekend ends with the submission of projects to successful entrepreneurs in a new opportunity to receive feedback.
The event will feature the participation of mentors, jurors, media, speakers, investors and others.
Date and place of the event
The event will take place on 23,24 and 25 in March of 2018 on CINFOTEC in Luanda.
