INACOM will be able to grant the first license to operate with 5G by the end of the year

The Angolan Institute of Communications (INACOM) may announce, by the end of that year, the attribution of the first license to operate with 5G, with the operator Unitel is the most quoted to receive that same license as it is currently more prepared to start operating with this technology.

This information was disclosed by the Angolan newspaper Expansion, where he adds that the Africell will start its operations without the 5G network, but with telephone services as early as 2022.

Also according to that national periodical, the distribution of the 3.3-3.7 GHz frequency band for the development of 5G technology was recently approved, in accordance with presidential order n.º200/21, dated 23 November, and where the above frequency is directed to the land mobile telephony service in order to make the electronic communications market more attractive to private investment.
