Instagram pays $35 for influencers to use Reels

O Instagram has been feeling the pressure of TikTok, and it seems that it is now testing some ways of trying to captivate more users for the platform, namely for the Reels.

In mid-July this year, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, said he would pay more than a billion dollars to creators to encourage them to invest in the company's products – including Facebook and, of course, Instagram.

And it seems, this incentive is now starting to emerge for some content creators. According to the portal TechCrunch, Instagram has started sending notifications to content creators so that they can redeem earnings based on the content they share on Instagram.

The incentive appears to be being sent to a wide range of creators, both accounts with thousands of followers and smaller ones, although the payout is proportional to the number of followers.

BUT: Instagram tests new subscription system for creators

In order for creators to receive the fund, they must reach a certain value of views in the contents of Reels by a specific date. The maximum bonus amount is also indicated at the same time.

In other words, the creators must reach a goal to be able to redeem the offer. But it is still unknown exactly which formula used by Instagram to determine these offers. There are users with profiles with more than 52 followers who received a 1000 dollar bonus, while others with smaller dimensions receive more.

The focus of it, however, seems to be the content published on Reels, and the views counted will be the videos shared in that format – a clear incentive to attack the popularity of TikTok.
