Minister of Telecommunications reiterates Angola's promotion through multimedia content

The need to increase the production of multimedia content to promote the country's image at home and abroad was reiterated by the minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Manuel Homem.

The minister was speaking at the opening of ANGOP's Vth Extended Consultative Council, this morning and with the presence of the Menos Fios team, which is taking place with a focus on strengthening internal and external assertion.

In the words of Manuel Homem, the objective should be to improve investigative journalistic work, with the aim of producing texts of substantive and diversified quality, capable of opening the doors for agencies to earn income.

ANGOP's Vth Extended Advisory Council started today and runs until the next three days, where the speakers will assess the implementation of the actions scheduled during the IV council and outline strategies to improve the coverage of the general elections, scheduled for 2022, and of the daily schedules.

Created in July 1975, under the name Agência Nacional Angola Press (ANAP), at first, its works were distributed in the form of a printed bulletin, until, on October 30 of the same year, it launched its first telegraphic dispatch.
