Nokia, a Finnish telecommunications company, came to MWC 2023 with something new… and we are not even talking about technology, the company decided to remind the world that its focus is far from the manufacture of mobile phones, a segment previously dominated by the Finnish company. For this, Nokia redesigned its logo, so that the most "senior" users do not have the memories of the past, since the division of phones of the Nokia it was sold in 2014, but everyone knows it didn't go very well.
After nearly 60 years, Nokia has unveiled its new visual identity to focus on its current businesses, which include selling networking equipment and licensing its many patents, including to mobile phone manufacturers. The company has been standing out in 5G, with this part of its business being boosted due to the restrictions imposed on Huawei, its main competitor, in several western countries.
Via Twitter, Nokia CEO Pekka Lundmark said the company's new logo "captures Nokia as we are today, with renewed energy and commitment as pioneers of digital transformation".
