As has become a habit, for four years MultiChoice Angola, in partnership with EutelSat, has organized a competition called DStv Star. This contest has as a character to develop the skills of young students aged 14 and 19 years, in the areas of writing (writing) and drawing / collage (poster).

Without departing from the rule, the MenosFios team took off Hotel Alvalade for an intimate ceremony of the awards ceremony of this 4ª edition that was held on 22 this month.
This year, posters were not classified, since none of them met the necessary requirements for the subsequent evaluation, which implied the awarding of prizes to only two competitors.

The ceremony was chaired by Maria Abreu, Director of Marketing and PR of MultiChoice Angola, accompanied by Giza Custodio from the Ministry of Education and Dr. Gabriel Miguel from the Ministry of Science and Technology. For other reasons, Vânya Pereira, of the Management Office of the National Space Program and Catarina Cardoso, of the Media Networks of Angola did not attend.

In this edition of “Estrela DSTV”, 104 participations were registered, coming from 7 provinces, namely, Benguela, Cabinda, Huambo, Huíla, Luanda, Moxico and Namibe. Unlike previous years, 2014 was the year with the most enrollments by boys, being the first place snatched by João Nuno Freire Melo, of the French Lycée de Luanda and for the second consecutive year the province of Huila arrives at the podium, this time with Cremilda Manuel Pinto, of 1 2 3.

Porting as a satellite, John describes the beauty of the earth seen from above and makes mention of the first Angolan satellite to orbit briefly. The first place, he won a DStv bué kit, with full installation, one year subscription and a laptop.
The drought and desertification and rationalization of water resources, Cremilda, made him receive a DStv bué kit, with complete installation, one year subscription and a mobile phone.
