While you are shopping for a book online, someone on the other side of the world may be sending you a text message at the same time. Thousands of things happen in a minute on the Internet, according to the survey of the Cumulus Media.
A few weeks ago, the Facebook revealed that it has more than two billion active monthly users. This means that more than a quarter of the Earth's population has connected to their social network accounts at least once in the last month.
Already in the ranking of the interactions per minute, the messages come first. 156 millions of emails are exchanged and 16 millions of messages in the Whatsapp are sent in 60 seconds only.
Meanwhile, the Youtube follows with 4,1 millions of videos watched, and 3,5 millions of searches are done on Google.
A Hootsuite- social media company showed some figures on the use of the internet worldwide, the result of a study carried out by that agency. According to them, of the 7,48 billion that inhabit the planet, 3,77 billion have access to the internet. Of these, 2,79 billion are users of social networks. 4,92 billion is the number of unique accesses via smartphone and 2,55 billion is the number of people who regularly use smartphones.
