A new video streaming service was launched in South Africa. Named TV2GO, the service is free and does not require users to subscribe.
Unlike your competition iSouth Africa, Ou seja, Netflix e Showmax, all that a viewer needs to access the most of 100's TVXUMXGo channels is an Internet connection, there is no need to sign up, register or pay a subscription fee.
How does the video streaming service work?
First, the video streaming service features a variety of content such as movies, documentaries, fashion shows, martial arts, games and children's channels. To have access to this free service, what all users have to do today, is to visit the TV2GO website and select the channels they want to watch. The user will only have to pay for their Internet. TV2GO makes money from advertising, viewers will be subject to a maximum of 8 ads during each three-hour viewing period.
In addition, the company is engaged in exploratory talks with South African telecommunications company Vodacom to explore ways to deliver content through the Vodacom application. This will also include coupons specific to TVXUMUMGO's display on the Vodacom network, similar to what MTN is doing with Jay-Z's streaming music service, the TIDAL, throughout Africa.
