Skype is inspired by Snapchat Stories in its new update

A Microsoft announced today (01 of June) the new update of its message- Skype or Whatsapp and brings some news inspired by the social network Snapchat.

Skype now includes a featured tool called "Highlights"Which allows users to take photos and videos that will be temporarily visible to their contacts. A tool is very similar to Snapchat's Stories.

The user in each conversation, will have the buttons accessible to make calls and video calls, as well as the camera button. Skype now integrates with services like Giphy and YouTube, also allows you to send a GIF or a video without switching applications.

Skype also improved its video calling capabilities, added the ability to send photos, tags and emojis during calls. This is the most expensive update since Microsoft bought Skype for $ 8,5 billion in 2011.

The update also has a variety of tools that Microsoft has made to help users, including the Corona virtual assistant and Scoop, which looks for news of user interest.

The new update will arrive first on Android and then it will be released later to iPhone. The versions for Windows e MacOS, will be covered in the coming months, according to Microsoft.
