Last year Banco Atlântico Europa decided to implement the account opening service for video calls, a very innovative service. But the African continent is not taking sides, as we already have an all-digital bank in Côte d'Ivoire.

Standard Chartered Bank announced last Friday 16 2018 the launch of the digital bank in Ivory Coast. According to the company, this marks the Bank's first digital bank in Africa and the first to open in Côte d'Ivoire.

Will all services be available in the digital bank?

The bank's digital services are available by downloading the Standard Chartered mobile application. New customers can run all their banking activities from their mobile devices.

But the big news is that opening a bank account takes less than 15 minutes. Standard Charted Bank customers can also provide all verification documents when uploading to the application and completing its installation process.

Second Jaydeep Gupta (Regional Head of Retail Banking, Africa and the Middle East), the new digital bank was developed with customers in mind. We have taken into account feedback received from customers at every stage of the design process and we incorporate innovative technology to enable them to perform all banking activities from a mobile device. This includes 70 banking services through the application.

Didier Drogba was announced as the Bank's Digital Ambassador, Drogba shared his experience in opening an account using his smartphone. He is the first person in Côte d'Ivoire to open a digital account at the Bank.

The banking institution in question has already been operating in Angola since 2014, will the digital bank also be implemented in our country?
