A few months ago rumors began to circulate about Tesla's coming to Africa. The chosen country: South Africa.

The Tesla is famous for its high-performance electric cars, yet they act in other areas of sustainable energy.

During the past week, the “Mayor” (equivalent to administrator) of Cape Town, Patricia de Lille, confirmed that Tesla Motors will open its first African office in Cape Town (South Africa). The company aims to provide its energy storage solutions to consumers and local businesses.
The local Tesla Motors office will be headed by Evan Rice - former CEO of GreenCape and a board member of the Cleantech International Network.
The Mayor of Cape Town was pleased with the arrival of Tesla:

We are very proud that Tesla has opened an office in Cape Town ...
Some of its products will be in the country in the next few months, which will add to the energy solutions we are looking for

The official announcement by the North American company on the matter is expected.

But with this initiative, it will not be long before the company starts to ride your cars in South Africa, thus lowering sales prices in that country. On the other hand, equipment such as batteries, solar panels (produced by the company), could be useful for the expansion of sustainable energy in South Africa

Will Elon Musk's company think about coming to Angola? Only the future to reveal that to us ...
