Meta's new social network, Threads, was released on July 6th and, the following week, managed to surpass 100 million subscribers. However, it seems that users have been spending less and less time on the social network.

The performance analysis platform Sensor Tower says that the number of active users per day on the platform fell by 82%, data referring to the 21st of July. The company says that only 8 million people access Threads per day. Much less than the maximum of 44 million people who accessed the platform on July 7th.

BUT: Threads gets chronological feed

It is worth remembering that the founder and CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, recognized in the company's most recent financial results presentation that Threads user retention was an issue, noting that the platform will continue to be developed to improve this issue.
