The social network Instagram is making several changes to the platform and new tools are being implemented during that year. One of the rumors that now circulate on the internet and that is causing some controversy, is that Instagram is going to start notifying users when someone prints their photos.
In a post on its official blog, however, Instagram denied that this information was true. The company informed that the new update will start to notify users only when the "prints" are made in the publications of the Stories which are sent to friends privately and not the prints taken on the photographs published in the profile or storie publicly.
The user can now send photographs or even videos to a particular friend in a private way, which after viewing should disappear just like the Snapchat, when some images are played, the user will be notified.
Instagram's goal is security for its users. With the launch of this tool when users send photos and videos to friends privately, this mechanism avoids circulating some personal information that was sent in a confidential manner. Thus, if the person who received the images chooses to share with more people and in this case make a print, instagram will alert the user who sent it. It is the way already used by other programs of its kind to really keep private information safe.
In order for the user to start using this new feature-notifications on the prints, it is necessary to perform an update in the application.
