According to the Bloomberg portal, the Netflix is currently testing a new feed for kids, which will feature short clips of content for the little ones. This feed is nicknamed “Kids Clips”, and uses an interface very similar to TikTok for the little ones to browse.

About Kids Clips users can find small clips created based on the series and movies that are on the platform, focused on the youngest, and that you want to take away a little of the idea of what is found in TikTok.

The idea of presenting new content to subscribers seems to be a focal point of streaming's performance in recent months, with the aim of exposing customers to more titles from its immense catalogue. In the case of children, the idea may be related to the appeal of the short video format from platforms like TikTok, which is very popular among the youngest.

In addition to seeing some of the content, users can also add the series it was taken from in a special list to be seen later.

BUT: Netflix Debuts First Games on Streaming Platform

Bearing in mind that the functionality is mainly focused on the little ones, and this theme still generates some controversy if not implemented well, current tests seem to limit the clip content to around 20 per session, to prevent the little ones spend too much time inside the app.

It is known that “Kids Clips” is being tested in the USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland and Latin America. There is still no information on when it can be launched in other markets.
