Seedstars and NaiLab offer program for emerging Kenyan startups

A Seedstars World, a platform whose objective is to highlight entrepreneurs from emerging markets, in agreement with the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, recently opened a grant opportunity for innovative startups in Kenya, called develoPPP.

According to the official statement, which MenosFios had access to, the program consists of looking for startups that have an innovative and impactful business model, both economically, ecologically and socially in an emerging country such as Kenya.

The program will offer a grant of up to 100.000 euros (65 Million Kwanzas), as well as business support in the startup's growth journey.

BUT: European Union provides 5 million euros for national incubators

develoPPP Ventures is a program that was initially launched in Kenya, where it is already expanding in the territory, and is expected to be gradually expanded to other countries on the African continent. The Kenya launch is supported by impact investing specialist Seedstars and business incubator NaiLab.

The release is implemented by DEG(Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH), supported by Seedstars and the business incubator NaiLab, who have years of experience in the growing digital entrepreneurship ecosystem in Kenya, as well as funding impactful ideas and specialize in helping young companies grow in the digital world.
